Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth L. Johnson, 58, of 311 Palm Harbor Drive, Orangeburg, will be held 11:00 am Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Simmons Funeral Home Chapel, 2868 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, with interment to follow in Peter Bowman Cemetery, Rowesville, SC. Reverend Cleo Benjamin is officiating.

Mr. Johnson will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.

Our love one, Kenneth Leroy Johnson quietly slipped into Eternal Rest, Wednesday evening, September 18, 2019 at the Regional Medical Center.

Kenneth was born on August 14, 1961 in the Orangeburg County Hospital. He was the 1st of 5 children born to the Late Leroy and Lottie Johnson.

He was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County. He attended Lockett Elementary and was a 1979 graduate of Branchville High School.

At an early age Kenneth joined St. Stephen Baptist Church where he was an active member on the Gospel Choir. He later joined St. Paul Baptist Church where he loved being a part of the Male Chorus.

For many years, Kenneth was employed at Ray's Construction and later at Gulbrandsen Manufacturing in Orangeburg.

Kenneth was dearly loved by both family and friends and will be truly missed by everyone who knew him. He was very quiet but always had a smile on his face and was eager to help others.

His loving memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends. He leaves warm and precious memories to be cherished by; his loving mother Lottie Lee Buskey Johnson; two daughters Jasmine (Christopher) Kimbrough of Orangeburg, SC; Raven Johnson of Cordova, SC, Two brothers: Karl Johnson of Branchville, SC and Darin Johnson of Atlanta, GA and two sisters : Sharon(Kenneth) Gladden of Columbia, SC and Latasha(Sosue) Johnson-Fogle of Rowesville, SC; three grandchildren JaNyah Carter, Christian Kimbrough, and Jayda Kimbrough; one aunt: Cornelia Bovain; and a host of nieces, great nephews, families and friends.

Mr. Johnson passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, SC.

Family and friends may call at the residence of his mother, Mrs. Lottie Lee Buskey Johnson, 5855 Freedom Road, Branchville, SC or Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory of Orangeburg.
